Clean Water at the Lopez house. One of the first houses to recieve water in Santa Cruz.
WATER!!!!!!!!!! Praise the Lord!!!!!!
Starting to lay water lines. The Santa Cruz people were so excited.
Yahhh!!! It's up there!! Santa Cruz now has a really big water tank.
Getting the tank up on top of the tower. It was something to watch.
The water tank for Santa Cruz. I think it was as big as Pastor Jesus's truck, but it made it up the mountain.
Look at Daniel (Pastor Jesus's son). He's a growing boy.

Jim Faircloth hard at work with Pastor Jesus to help lay the cement floor for a family.
Shirley Davis captivating the children's attention with Bible stories. They just loved her!

The church gets their sign. Thank you Matt & Palisa for all your hard work. It looks great!

going to the mountain top

I took this picture from the top of one mountain....realizing I had to get to the other mountain. Which meant I had to go down and them climb UP the other one to get to the Village/community of El Vinado.......I must say a little fear gripped me at that moment....BUT......

This the kitchen of one of the houses...looks nice
Below is some photos of one of the houses we went to and shared about how to keep themsleves a little more healthy

Here we are with water jugs soap and broom heading to one of the houses..Belky,Joe and I along with some kids....
we had the opportunity to pray for this lady....her name is Maria Lucia

Belky (my translator) and I are sharing the importance of sweeking their floors and wall....the chincha bug lives in the wall

they use this stone to grind their corn...just thought I would give it a try
Below are some of the children who live in El Vinado (SP)...the were filled excitement....one day as I was sitting and talking with the kids they began to feel my hair and touch my skin....I asked them had they a black person before....They said no( they had seen whites before) and then I asked if they knew there people like me in the world...they said no...there was one older girl that said she thinks she saw a black person in a book one time......What an opportunity it was to share about God's creation and the many races/faces of people in world...what a pleasure it was for share the God's love with them.....

The day we arrived lots of children came out to met us...

This is a family's house...just sticks...not much protection from the wind, rain and cold

This is how most people here in the mountains cook here....this is inside a little stick house....

This was taken on the day we were leaving...we were able to touch so many lives....the kids were great..there were nights we would have to make the children go home...because we were ready to go to bed...
walking out was just as hard as waling into the village/community

a little help was needed in some places....

such beautiful country..

WE made it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a little ok a lot tired.

What joy to be at the cars...

As I said before it was one of the hardest things I have ever done but I must say it was the soooo rewarding
